About Us

As the largest local independent insurance agents association in the United States, the Independent Insurance Agents of Houston is a volunteer-based organization with a full-time staff to serve its members through education, advocacy, networking and community service. With 10 working committees which comprise of 100 active volunteers, the Independent Insurance Agents of Houston is truly the voice of the Houston independent insurance agents. We are here to serve you.

A Note from the President & CEO

Fall brings lots of activities for IIAH.  Centennial golf, YIPS Cornhole, Centennial celebration, Pickleball and I could go on and on.  They are all great events and thank you for supporting them with your time and sponsorships!


September also started our new fiscal year and with that we bring in new board members and a new Board President. Congratulations to Jason Knecht on being the 2024-2025 President.  Thanks to Adam Harris for your service as President in 2023-2024.  New board members include William Peachey, Kathryn Noser, Wes Weatherred, Faith Boren, Jesse Serna, Keaton Sumicek and Chris Dowling.  Thank you for serving your industry as a member of the board of directors.
 
We are gearing up for a bigger and better Houston Insurance Day in February.  As I write that sentence, it does not seem possible to be bigger and better than last year, but our wonderful committee along with Renee and Ayla have already sold more booths than this time last year, so they are well on their way.  Please plan to attend as it is always the most well attended event of the year for IIAH.
